How to pair

Before using your mobile phone with Blue&Me™, you must create a pairing relationship between the mobile phone and Blue&Me™. After this procedure, Blue&Me™ will automatically connect to your phone each time that you enter the car and turn the car's key to the 'on' position.

To create a pairing relationship using manual interaction, follow these steps when the car is not moving:
Navigate to the Blue&Me Setup / Setup, Pairing, and then press <SRC> or <TEL>. Blue&Me™ starts the pairing procedure.
Blue&Me™ shows the mobile phone pairing PIN number on the display screen and also speaks the PIN number.

• Press MENU, select SETTINGS, select CONNECTIVITY
• Select BLUETOOTH, TURN ON if not already ON
• Select ADD NEW DEVICE.
• Select "Blue&Me", and enter the PIN, press OK.

At this point to avoid to confirm each time Blue&Me requires to connect apply the following

• Select Blue&Me, press OPTIONS.
• Select ALLOW CONNECTION, select ALWAYS ALLOW.
  

Phonebook download

If your mobile phone doesn't support automatic downloading during phone pairing, or if you want to send individual contact entries to "Blue&Me™", the ADD CONTACTS item will be available in the USER DATA menu.
To add mobile phone contacts to "Blue&Me™" using manual interaction:
While a mobile phone is connected to "Blue&Me™", navigate to SETTINGS, USER DATA, and then select ADD CONTACTS.
Then on the mobile phone proceed as follows:

Sending contacts one-by-one

• Select MENU, select CONTACTS
• Select a contact, select OPTIONS
• Select SEND CONTACT, select VIA BLUETOOTH
• Select BLUE&ME

Sending more contacts

• Press MENU, select PHONEBOOK, select OPTIONS
• Select MORE, select ADVANCED, select SEND ALL CONTACTS.
• Select VIA BLUETOOTH , select Blue&Me

Tips & Tricks

(1) Reject/answer incoming call :

• Upon the requests either to reject or to accept the incoming call the command is completed a lot of rings later.
  If experiencing this behaviour please apply the patch for Sony Ericsson phones that is available at Fiat internet site, section Blue&Me > Download.

Read firmware version:

• From the phone's splash screen
• Press the joystick to the right once
• Press the * key
• Press the joystick to the left twice
• Press the * key
• Press the joystick to the left once
• Press the * key

Read IMEI code:

• From the phone's splash screen, type the code: *#06#

  From the IMEI is possible to extract the following info:

TAC = Type Approval Code (first 2 digits = country code)
FAC = Final Assembly Code
SNR = Serial Number.
SP = Spare (always SP=0)

The fabrication date is expressed by means of a number of four digits. For the telephones produced before the 1/1/96 the format is MMYY, where: MM stands for month, YY stands for year (eg. 1095 means October 1995). The format is WWYY, where: WW indicates the chronological number of the week from the beginning of the year and YY indicates the year (eg. 3097 means the thirtieth week of 1997).
